Three-day ambassadorial starts

The ambassadorial organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia has started in the Hotel Radisson at 09:30 on Tuesday.

The event is annual and it aims at summoning Georgian ambassadors from all countries to listen to the reports regarding the state strategy and foreign policy.

Foreign Minister Grigol Vashadze said the ambassadorial was a special event, because it assembled the representatives of Georgian diplomatic missions, who met with Georgian authorities to listen to the key goals, tasks and priorities for their work during the next year.

`One of such tasks is the attraction of investments, support of democratic developments in the country. This year I have invited the foreign ministers of Estonia and Finland to attend the ambassadorial. The guests will share their experience of diplomatic work to our diplomats, in NATO and EU in particular,` Grigol Vashadze said.

This time, other high-even guests are attending the ambassadorial, which will last three days. OSCE Secretary General Marc Perrin de Brichambaut, Finish Foreign Minister Alexander Stubb and the Spanish Foreign Minister Urmas Paet have arrived in Tbilisi this morning to attend the event.
